As a photographer, Birgit Krippner spends a good amount of time working on her own. Naturally, she is more of an introvert, and at the same time Birgit enjoys bringing like-minded people together, who are curious and who share an interest in photography, as well as sharing her skill of capturing which goes beyond the surface. This is an important aspect of her. Which makes Birgit a better person and a better photographer. Photography is Birgit’s language. People get to know her through her photographs, and she gets to know people photographing them.
Born in Austria, award-winning photographer Birgit has been based in New Zealand since 2003 and lives in the South Island of New Zealand. She has exhibited internationally and received numerous awards. Birgit’s work has been published in The New York Times, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy Magazine, Getty Images, ArtForum, NZ Life & Leisure, etc.
